Sometimes as a photographer, you meet clients who you just click with immediately. Full disclosure – although Jaclyn and I had never met in person, we were both graduates of the same photography course (created by the fabulous Gemma Peanut). Jaclyn reached out when she was pregnant with her second little boy, and a few weeks later I travelled to Sydney and shot with her and her boys to document the final weeks of her pregnancy. When I arrived, her son Finn greeted me at the door and dragged me over to his toy and book corner, and I knew I was in good company. I have not laughed and smiled during a session as much as I did with these guys!
Fast forward a few weeks, they welcomed little Ozzie into the world and asked me to document their new family dynamic, in their home once again. Home sessions are my absolute favourite place to photograph a family – everyone is comfortable, relaxed and everything just feels natural. Finn was once again in his element, remembered me immediately and as before, showed me around his favourite parts of the house. Everyone was all smiles, and rightly so – they’re a beautiful little family, in a home filled with so much love.
